STURKFILMS is a bilingual film production company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.


We produce the original work of director-writer, Danielle Sturk, and partner with others to create exceptional stories on screen of the highest creative quality.



Committed to artistic excellence and female-driven narratives, STURKFILMS fosters a culture of creative risk-taking. By partnering with creators across Canada and leveraging Manitoba’s generous tax incentives, the company champions underrepresented voices and contributes to a more vibrant national media landscape.

STURKFILMS work and live on Treaty One Territory and the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline and Nehethowuk Nations, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. Our water is sourced from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, and we are grateful for it. 

We respect the treaties that were made on these territories, acknowledge the impacts of colonialization that continue to the present day, and recognize our responsibility in diminishing those impacts through our work on these lands in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
